Owensboro Police have made an arrest in connection with Tuesday's shooting. Marzuq L. Nasir-Al-Din, 35, of Owensboro is charged with Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Receiving Stolen Property, Assault and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

The charges stem from a shooting Tuesday around 4:00 pm in the 500 block of Plum Street. Officers met the victim, William Dixon, at OMHS. Dixon said he was arguing with another person when he was shot in the arm. Dixon was treated and released.

Owensboro Police say an anonymous phone call let detectives to Nasir-Al-Din's home, where they found the gun believed to be used in the shooting.
Nasir-Al-Din was booked in the Daviess County Detention Center.
