Vaccination Clinic Wraps Up

Health officials say around 500 people received vaccinations in the last week. So far, no one besides the restaurant employee has tested positive for Hepatitis A.
County health officials say the demand has really leveled off the last couple days. The Vanderburgh County Health Department ordered a thousand vaccines to prevent a possible outbreak. People seemed to be worried enough to come in for a shot but not overly worried about the threat.
Although the clinic ends Thursday at 6 p.m., the health department isn't letting their guard down.
"We are currently doing active surveillance of health care facilities and the restaurant to make sure no sick people are showing up," said Chris Allen of the Vanderburgh County Health Department.
Allen says the restaurant has been cleaned and approved to open for business. Allen also said in a tongue-in-cheek way, Lone Star is the only restaurant in the city to have all of it's employees vaccinated for Hepatitis A.
