Tonight was the first time the public got to give their input on Evansville's Bicentennial Park.

Preliminary plans were unveiled at the Old Post Office, and residents were advised to give their recommendations for the design of the park.

It will be located downtown near the Old Greyhound Bus Station.

Some of the ideas for the park include a farmer's market and a green space.

A final design may be ready by the end of the month.

The city of Evansville is celebrating its 200th birthday.
