State Police will be participating in Operation Pull Over
Lieutenant Dennis Marshall, Commander of the Evansville District, announced today the Evansville District will be participating in the upcoming Operation Pull Over Blitz. The traffic enforcement blitz will be conducted from Friday, March 7th through Sunday, March 23rd. During the two week period, troopers will concentrate their efforts on impaired drivers and restraint violations.
“During this blitz period, troopers at the Evansville District will be conducting saturation patrols targeting impaired drivers. Troopers will also dedicate more time looking for drivers and passengers who are not buckling up,” said Marshall.
Operation Pull Over is sponsored by the Governor’s Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving.
Federal funding for this initiative is provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Indiana State Police want to remind every motorist the importance of reporting impaired drivers by dialing 911 or by contacting the Indiana State Police at 1-800-852-3970.
