Airborne Maker To Pay Price For False Advertising
People whove taken the supplement called Airborne, once touted as a quote, "miracle cold buster," are now eligible for refunds because of the products false claims.
ABC News reports Airborne will pay out more than 23-million-dollars to settle a class action lawsuit for originally claiming it could ward off or cure a cold.
Dietary supplements like Airborne are not permitted to make specific health claims, and Airborne had no clinical data to support its cold-fighting claims.
Consumers who purchased Airborne between 2001 and 2007 should submit their claims for reimbursement by September 15th.
