Spencer County authorities finally have a man in custody they've been trying to catch for four days. The Sheriff's Department wanted 35 year old Kenneth Roach of Gentryville on drug charges. When they spotted him Friday night, he took off, crashed his car and ran away, but they picked up his trail Tuesday. A pursuit reaching speeds of 85 miles an hour started in Warrick County, raced into Spencer County and back to Warrick. Roach crashed his car on Yankeetown Road, two miles north of State Road 66. Officers from Warrick and Spencer Counties, as well as the Indiana State Police, were in on the chase. Indiana State Police trooper Troy Fischer says, "It's amazing what these guys do sometimes to avoid incarceration, but it was really exciting, and it's why we do the job." Roach's passenger, 20 year old Chris Epley of Boonville, was also taken into custody. Both men are charged with resisting arrest. Roach is also facing several felony drug charges.
