Some Evansville students will be able to walk past art they've created, when it goes on display in their own neighborhood. Artists and students of all ages put their paintbrushes to work at the Culver Family Learning Center Saturday morning. They're collaborating on a sculpture to celebrate Evansville's bicentennial, as part of the Sculpt EVV Leadership Academy. A USI art professor in charge of the program says it's teaching students about the history of the community, and the importance of art. The finished piece will be displayed in a public sculpture show in the Haynie's Corner arts district starting June 9th.
