Executive Director Cheryl Musgrave is proposing a pilot program that would share the mowing, pruning and turf maintenance with the state. Musgrave's goal is to make the entrances to the city more welcoming by mowing more frequently.
Musgrave presented the idea to the Convention and Visitor's Bureau asking for the board's support and partnership.
Keep Evansville Beautiful Executive Director, Cheryl Musgrave, says, "What I got today was kind of a pat on the back and encouragement to send out at least the first RFP for the mowing and to bring it back to them so they can consider whether the numbers work within their framework."
CVB Executive Director, Bob Warren, says,"They would like to see a higher level of local participation from wherever it might come from.
Musgrave expects to receive the first proposals in about two weeks. She will then meet with the CVB in a special meeting to decide whether they want to ask the County Council for the funding.
