Indiana State Senator David Ford Dies

Indiana State Senator David Ford Dies Of Cancer (Indianapolis) -- Indiana state Senator David Ford has died from complications of pancreatic cancer. Ford was 59-years-old and passed away at home, where he had been receiving hospice care. He was diagnosed with cancer after checking into the hospital in January. Fords district included Wells and Adams counties, along with parts of Allen, Blackford and Grant counties. Senate Pro Tem David Long named Ford to serve as the Republican Assistant Majority Floor Leader in 2007. Ford served as Blakford County prosecutor before coming to the state Senate.
