With the warm weather many tri-staters are breaking out their two wheels and enjoying bike rides. But with recent bike versus car accidents in the area, Warrick County Commissioners are unveiling new signs for a bike trail to help steer riders away form busy intersections. The Bluegrass Bicycle routes in Northwestern Warrick County are made of four trails about nine miles each that now have colorful guided signs for cyclists. The Bluegrass Bicycle routes near Boonville New Harmony Road is now easier to navigate. Greg Meyer approached the Warrick County Commission about placing signs throughout the trails to keep riders safe.
Commissioner Tim Mosbey says these trails are for everyone to enjoy. The new signs were unveiled and individual maps were handed out to riders. Paul Jensen says staying away from busy roads can prevent accidents. Signs for the trails were donated by various tri-state civic groups.
