Two women are behind bars tonight, accused of hiding jail escapee Josh Ridings. Misty Hinton and her cousin Kimberly Renfrow were arrested Tuesday in Daviess county Kentucky. The man theyre accused of helping, Ridings, faces charges of rape in three states. Misty Hinton exclusively spoke with fox sevens Kelli Carlisle inside the jail. 28 year old Misty Hinton now spent the night behind bars for allegedly hiding accused rapist Joshua Ridings "I got a phone call...I said yes." That answer would soon catch up with her. Although Hinton said she didnt know Ridings well, she did go to high school with him, one reason she allowed him to stay when her cousin Kimberly Renfrow and another friend asked on February 26th. Hinton however says she didnt know why he was wanted until the next morning "I saw on the world news that there was a big manhunt for him, everything he had done." Hinton says when she confronted ridings, he just laughed. "He came and stood in my doorway, and I was like oh my god, and he said its okay, I said no its not." Hinton says she called her cousin Kimberly to come get her. The two women left the trailer, but were soon met by police. "They pulled us over, I jumped out and was like get him out of my house, they said who, and I said Josh Ridings." Hinton says she and her cousin were cooperative, and didnt expect to be arrested, but Lieutenant Bill Thompson says that wasnt quite the case. Given the nature of Ridings charges, he was surprised anyone would harbor him "Especially females, who have younger females..where hes at." At the end of our conversation, Hinton broke into tears, but said in the future, she would be more selective about her house guests.
