Car Hits Young Child

Evansville Police say a car hit a 5 yr. old boy.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Monroe Ave.
Authorities say a woman hit the boy after he ran into the street.
The child was rushed to St. Mary's Medical Center with injuries.
 The woman is also there being tested for drugs and alcohol.
 No word on the boy's injuries.
