Trial Date Set in Elderly Neglect Case

By: Michael C. Fehn
Updated: June 12, 2012
A trial date has been set for a man police say is responsible for the worst case of elderly neglect they've ever seen.

Samuel Williams will go on trial August 27th on charges of neglect, theft, and home improvement fraud.

Williams is accused of misappropriating more than 11-thousand dollars of 88-year old Catherine Walker's money, while acting as her power of attorney.

Police say they found walker in December, of 2010, living in a home with no heat, no running water, very little food, and feces covering the home.

If convicted on all three felony counts, Williams could face anywhere from three to 14 years behind bars.

This entire story is a complete and utter example of unprofessionalism and fabricated news casting. The reporters that are responsible for this biggest collection of lies and slander should be ashamed and I for one will be very satisfied when they are forced to publicly retract their stupidity. For one, they made no attempts to question any witnesses or to even talk to Mr. Williams about these allegations. Second, there is no trial set for August 27th, that too is a fabrication as well as any stories of theft. I am personally appauled at the very thought that the very people we depend on for our news can be so negligent about the very thing they are paid to do. To make up stories or manipulate the facts just to assumably raise their ratings. To think that they would willingly and knowingly drag a good man through the mud, a man who actually did everything he could to help this woman for around twenty years. I pray that no one else has or will fall victim to the attack of character that Mr. Williams is being forced to endure. There will be no three to 14 years behind bars, of this I am certain as I said before I will be very satisfied on the day that these reporters have to apologize and reveal their deceitful acts against the honest folks of our community.
