Democrat, Glenda Ritz, on Friday, declared her candidacy for Superintendent of Public Instruction. And she has already received the endorsement of Democratic candidates for Governor and Lt. Governor, John Gregg and Vi Simpson.
"I am running because our students and taxpayers deserve better from Indiana schools. After four years of being in complete control, and in spite spending over half of all Hoosier tax dollars on education, Tony Bennett presides over an education system that is 27th in the nation in preparing students for the global economy," said Ms. Ritz.
Ritz has been named Teacher of the Year by two different schools in Washington Township. She is also a Golden Apple Award recipient.
