Two kids went for a walk along the riverfront in Evansville, and found a body.  They say they were walking on the beach area near Marina Pointe when they found it. Hundreds of people stopped along Evansville's river front as authorities tried to piece together what happened that would cause a white male's body to wash up on the shore of the Ohio River.
Emily Dietz and her brother Nick were walking here on the banks of the Ohio. An unwelcome surprise on this Father's Day.  The kids then told their grandparents what they saw.
The only way to get to the scene was by boat, so Evansville Fire and Rescue responded, along with Henderson County, KY officials.
Henderson County Coroner Bruce Farmer was one of the first responders.  Farmer says water plays a major factor in the investigation.  Now that a body has been found, the investigation for Kentucky State Police has just begun.
The body is being taken to Louisville for an autopsy. Farmer hopes that will be complete some time tomorrow.  He adds there are no signs of foul play at this time.
