Man Arrested After Suspected Domestic Violence Incident

An Evansville man is accused of beating a woman in front of her two grandchildren.
Police say Charles Cooper got into an argument with a woman in the 35-hundred block of Taylor Avenue, then pushed her down, choked, and hit her. Police say he then left the area on a bicycle. Cooper was later arrested near the intersection of Boeke Road and Washington Avenue.
The alleged victim was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center with head and neck injuries.
