Inmate Killed In Prison Has Local Ties

Indiana state police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility--that inmate from Evansville.
28-year old Nicholas Roman was found dead in his cell just after eleven last night.
Fox7 spoke with Romans mother via phone this evening.
She received news of her son around one this morning.
Roman was found strangled to death.
Another inmate 30-year old Zachariah Melcher is a suspect--hes serving life for the murder of his infant son, wife, and unborn child.
Roman has a lot of family in the Evansville area--his mother says funeral arrangements have not been finalized
