Officials say after several hours, a major fire in Pike County has been contained.  Authorities say the fire started Friday in a wooded area just north of State Road 64 in Pike County, east of Oakland City, and continued to move south until the wind changed directions.  Fire crews say the wind change helped them get the fire under control.  Several departments were dispatched to the area to fight the fire.  Pike County EMA says no one was injured.  Some homes were evacuated, but no homes were damaged.  Fire officials will be monitoring the area for the next few days to make sure it does not flare up again.
