Deputies: Drunk Man Tries to Steal Boat...on Dry Land

Daviess County, Kentucky Deputies say a Philpot, Kentucky man tried to steal a boat, on dry land.

Deputies were called to the Hillbilly-Two Truck Stop on highway 2830 around midnight, where they say they found Timothy Oliver trying to steal a 22-foot fishing boat.

Oliver, who deputies say was drunk at the time, tried to run away when they approached him at the scene, however, he was quickly tased and taken into custody.

Oliver is charged with his third DUI, criminal mischief, theft and operating a vehicle on a suspended license.
