Gas Prices Continue To Go Up

Gas Prices Continue To Go Up (New York, NY) -- Just as analysts predicted, gas prices continue to soar with no end in sight. According to the latest nationwide Lundberg survey, gasoline averaged nearly three-dollars-20-cents a gallon last week. Thats up almost a dime over the last two weeks. The survey of about seven-thousand gas stations nationwide shows the price for a gallon of gas is 64-cents more expensive now than a year ago. Survey editor Trilby Lundberg says the recent spike in price can be traced to the rising cost of crude oil. And Lundberg says its only going to get worse. Prices could rise 20 to 30 cents in the next month as refiners pass along higher crude oil prices. The latest price is an all-time high at face value, but when adjusted for inflation it falls just below the record set last May. (Copyright 2008 by Newsroom Solutions) RNS-03-10-08 0241CDT
