A southern Illinois man may find out Tuesday if he will become the newest resident on death row.
A jury has found Gary Pate guilty of shooting and killing his estranged wife Kathleen and her daughter Amanda Jeffers.
The murders took place in May of 2006 in their home in Norris City.
The jury also says Pate is eligible for the death penalty.
It will return Tuesday to hear arguments for and against handing him capitol punishment.
The jury will also likely deliver its decision that day.
