Updated: June 29, 2012

The intense heat shatters yet another record in the Tri-State.

Thursday's 106 degree temperature pushes Kenergy to a new record for energy use in June.

The energy provider surpassed their previous June record set in 2010 when the heat index was 107.

They also say today's heat could pass their all time mark for energy use in a single day.
