Church Offers Chance to Win '66 Corvette

The public is invited to the annual Saint Bernard Summer Social Sunday July 8 on the church grounds at 6th & Elm St. in Rockport, IN. Hours are 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. CDT.
All you can eat fried chicken or roast beef dinners will be served in the air-conditioned gym starting at 11:00 a.m. until the food runs out. Take-out is available. Saint Bernard's famous faux turtle soup will be on sale by the bowl or gallon and outstanding sandwiches and other food items will be available in the food court.
Other features include games for all ages, homemade ice cream, silent auction, money wheel, crafts, kiddie train rides, quilt raffle, and big money raffle for a chance to win $1,000.00. Bingo is being offered for those 18 and older. Classic car owners are encouraged to bring their car to the classic car cruise-in held during the summer social.
The belt sander drag strip races return for a second year featuring tracks designed and constructed by Obermeier Hardware in Rockport.
A 1966 Corvette Convertible valued at $80,000.00 will also be given away at 5:00 p.m. Car raffle tickets can still be purchased by calling 812-362-7313 and details can be found online at www.StBernardCorvette.org.
Proceeds from the Summer Social and classic car benefit the Saint Bernard Parish and the Saint Bernard Elementary School.
