Indiana Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman is made her way through Southwestern Indiana today. Her first stop was in Chrisney this morning.

Skillman wanted to check out the return on the state's $400,000 investment in the town's zero emmissions library. The library was the first in the state be have solar panel system that actually creates more electricity than the library needs. Skillman says she's very pleased with the progress the both the library and the town have made.

"This library, quite frankly, is a great role model for the rest of the state," said Skillman. "We'd like to see these projects replicated throughout the rest of the state. They're producing more energy than they use, which means they can sell it back to the utility."

Skillman also made stop in Pike County to speak with Petersburg Mayor John Craig about their long-term plans for economic development.
