Growing Gap in KY College Graduation Rates

A new report shows that there's a growing gap in college graduation rates between low-income Kentucky residents and those who come from moderate, to high-income families.
According to the report form the Council on Post Secondary Education, the graduation rate of low-income college students fell from 46 percent to 35 percent between 2008 and 2010. In the same time period, the graduation rate of moderate, to high-income students dropped from 57 to 53 percent.
Officials say that the widening gap is connected to a bad economy, higher tuition rates and less financial aid.
