Updated: July 20, 2012
A Tri-State community mourns the loss of a local businessman this week. Early Wednesday night, a storm hit the Martin County town of Loogootee when 72-year-old Mike Bird was on the Lakeview Golf Course. The sheriff believes lightning hit a tree on the course, causing it to fall.

Bird's body was found under that fallen tree. He and his family had managed the course for nearly 15 years.
