UPDATE: Overturned Semi Blocks Traffic for Hours in Daviess County

UPDATE:

A Daviess County Road is back open after an overturned semi shuts down traffic for at least 6 hours.

Daviess County Deputies say Highway 554 at Highway 81 opened back up around 5 p.m. Saturday.

That's where a fully loaded semi tractor trailer overturned late Saturday morning.

It took crews at least six hours to clear the scene.

Deputies say the driver and his wife had only minor injuries.

An overturned semi is shutting down traffic on Highway 554 for several hours.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a fully loaded semi tractor trailer overturned Saturday morning on Highway 554 at Highway 81 in Daviess County.

As of Saturday morning, officials said the section of 554 at Highway 81 and Todd Bridge Road could be closed for as long as 6 to 8 hours as crews work to clear the road.

No reports of any injuries at this time.
