Owensboro Merger

At least one organization in Owensboro wants to make sure the issue of a merger does not die.
The chamber of commerce will mail postcards to every organization that has a business license in Daviess County within the next few days.
The post cards will ask businesses to contact members of the fiscal court to ask them to pass an ordinance supporting a merger study.
The Owensboro City Commission has already passed such an ordinance, but the process will end if the Fiscal Court doesnt pass the ordinance also.
The issue is expected to come up at the March 20th Fiscal Court meeting.
