Some Kentucky farmers suffered last year after spring frost and summer drought.
Now Governor Beshear is ready to help.
The Governor unveiled a Kentucky Agricultural Relief Effort Thursday.
Under the plan, the state will divide $8.1 million among Kentucky counties, which will then be distributed to individual farmers.
Farmers can receive up to 50-cents for every dollar they spend on eligible farming equipment.
The goal is to help farmers prepare for future droughts and freezes.
Applications for farmers have not been mailed to individual counties yet, but should be ready in coming months.
