Romney Stumps For Mourdock, Both Sides React To Visit

EVANSVILLE - The last minute change in Romney's schedule brought "star power" to the race for U.S. Senate out of Indiana.
Analysts predict Romney will take Indiana and its 11 electoral votes this November. But the race between republican Richard Mourdock and democrat Joe Donnelly is too close to call.
For Mitt Romney, there wasn't much to gain here in Indiana, other than Saturday's fundraiser which will provide him with thousands of dollars in campaign donations. But for republican Richard Mourdock, victory among Hoosier voters isn't as certain.
Stumping for Mourdock in Evansville, Romney told supporters, "I'm very concerned about how we can get Americans back in good paying jobs with a bright and prosperous future."
Front and center on Romney's agenda is jobs and the economy. It's just the "change" supporters say this country needs.
Romney supporter Laura Thompson says, "The economy right now is pretty bad. Unemployment's been pretty bad. I myself was unemployed for a long time. [It] took me a long time to get anything and, right now, I'm a temporary worker."
Others hope a Romney win come November will launch an all out assault on Obama's landmark health care law.
"We need to repeal Obamacare and we need to cut government spending," explains Romney supporter Keri Carney.
But not everyone out there thinks change is needed. Some Obama supporters came out to see the action and hear what Romney had to say; whether they agreed or not.
Obama supporter Ron Lyles says, "When it's all said and done and we've got some 80 days before Election Day, I think the American people will be convinced that they need to give President Obama another four years to finish out what he has done."
A sticking point for some Romney supporters, a controversial topic that has gotten a lot of talk as of late; especially with the president's 'evolved' viewpoint.
Romney supporter James Morris says, "We don't agree with the same sex marriage. But, they got their opinion, we got ours. I have nothing against them."
