Toyota Reduces Production

Toyota reducing production in Indiana, while Chrysler imposes a two week vacation. Due to high gas prices, Toyota has announced its reducing truck production at its Princeton plant. The Wall Street Journal reports Toyota will not lay off employees. Meanwhile Chrysler is requiring employees take a two week break. This in an effort to improve efficiency and productivity. Chrysler has a transmission facility in Kokomo.
