New Morgue on the Table for Warrick County

By: Chris Veech
Updated: August 9, 2012
Warrick County officials discuss building a new morgue in order to save money. The coroner's office currently uses the Vanderburgh County morgue for autopsies and housing the deceased whose families can't afford to pay for a funeral.

Warrick County spent almost $34,000 in autopsies and more than $2,000 in housing bodies in 2011. County Coroner Eddie Goff says a Warrick morgue may not affect autopsy charges, but it would reduce costs of housing bodies and other expenses.
