Deer Hunting is a popular sport and tradition in Kentucky. Western Kentucky also has a reputation for "Trophy" class bucks. The Kentucky Deer Classic is THE showcase in Kentucky for the Deer Hunters and the outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy the day shopping for the latest in hunting equipment, while learning from the seminars and viewing the trophy buck mounts as well as a live deer exhibit with trophy bucks still in velvet. Along with the 3-D archery shoot and the games for kids, the Classic provides all day fun for the whole family.

The Kentucky Deer Classic is not a commercial venture for a promotion company, but a Muhlenberg county event that involves volunteers from the Chamber of Commerce as well as many individuals from the county's High School.
