Six New Evansville Firefighters

The Evansville Fire Department officially welcomed six new recruits to the department. Tuesday all six were sworn in during a fire merit commission meeting at the departments headquarters. They were hired in January and have just completed their initial training, which included 280 hours of fire hazardous material and first responder EMS work. The new fire fighters say theyre very excited to be a part of the force. The new firefighters are Levi Thene, Craig McLin, Russell Word, Chris Wagener, Greg Moore and Rob Smith.
