Starbucks Lays Out New Plan (Seattle, WA) -- Starbucks has laid out a plan to perk up business. At its annual meeting, the coffee giant unveiled new coffee machines, a customer rewards program, and a new coffee blend. Investors werent impressed, though. Shares of the company sank four percent in trading yesterday. Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz told investors the economys in a "tailspin," and while Starbucks coffee is an affordable luxury, there are economic forces at work that are beyond the companys control.
