Arrest Made in Madisonville Stabbing

A 22-year old Madisonville man is in the hospital today after police say he was stabbed during a fight Thursday night.
It happened at the victim's home on Legion Drive around 10p.m. Police say Jeffrey Carter collapsed on the front porch when they arrived. He later told them he had gotten into an argument with the suspect, then realized he had been stabbed.
Carter was taken to Regional Medical Center. Officers say they tracked down the suspect, 33-year old Matthew Boyd at his home a short time later.
Boyd is facing a preliminary charge of first degree assault. The victim's condition is not being released.
