Vincennes University, Toyota Team Up For New Student Program

Vincennes University is partnering with Toyota for an 'Education-to-Work' program. It's the first of its kind in the state.
The announcement was made Wednesday on the VU campus. Officials say students that complete in the program will walk away with the strongest manufacturing degree in indiana.
Each student would go to school three days a week, and work at Toyota two days, earning real-world experience and a paycheck.
One student we spoke with says she had a 3-point-9 grade point average, and turned down a scholarship to attend this same program in Georgetown, Kentucky.
VU will be accepting 20-students to the new program, which begins next fall.
