Keep Evansville Beautiful Honors Those for Cleaning Up the City

Keep Evansville Beautiful is honoring area businesses and volunteers who have raised the bar when it come to making Evansville a clean and better place to live. Today's luncheon recognized sevearl long-time volunteers, like Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and Carol McLintock for the "Clean Evansville" initiative.

The biggest awards doled out today, were for the beautification of MLK Jr. Blvd and the project to divert rainwater out of the Back 40 behind the Civic Center.

Keep Evansville Beautiful President Cheryl Musgrave says Mayor Winnecke's campaign to clean up litter has taken 14,000 pounds of trash off the streets already this year.
