Daviess County Teachers Up For KY Teacher of the Year

Two teachers from Daviess County, Kentucky are in the running for
Teacher of the Year awards from the Kentucky Department of Eduction.
Heidi Givens, of Tamarack Elementary School, is up for Elementary Teacher of the Year, and Angela Gunter, of Daviess County High School, is in the running for high school teacher of the year.
In all, there are nine semifinalists. Three each in elementary, middle and high school categories. They were chosen based on scores from the first round of judging, as well as classroom visits and personal interviews.
Winners in each category, as well as the overall teacher of the year, will be announced on October 17th in Frankfort.
