I-67 Could Boost Owensboro's Economy

By: Chris Veech
Updated: October 15, 2012

A new study shows a proposed interstate that would run through owensboro would be a big boost to the local economy. I-67 would run from Bowling Green to Owensboro on what's now the Natcher Parkway and would be used as a connector from I-65 to I-196 in Michigan. The research only confirms what leaders in Daviess County have been saying for a while now. But even if the interstate gets approved, leaders say it would likely take several years for it to be complete.
