Fire investigators say an overnight fire in Evansville was intentionally set.

Firefighters were called to the 4-hundred block of Richardt just after 10:30 Monday night.  When they arrived, they found heavy black smoke coming from the back of the home.

Nobody was home when the fire broke out, and crews got the fire under control in about 20 minutes.

The home received fire damage to the back of the home, and smoke damage throughout.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Indiana Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for this fire.

Anyone with information is urged to call 800-382-4628.
