New Ordinance a Ski Day Killer?

The court unanimously agreed on a new parks ordinance that could, at the very least, force Ski Day to scale back.
The ordinance requires the organizer of any large event held on private property to pay back the county for any overtime the Sheriff's Department incurs while providing extra security, which, for Ski Day, is reportedly about $5,000.
Promoter, Rick O'Daniel, says he's always cooperated with the county to keep Ski Day safe, and that extra fee is money he just doesn't have.
The court says it's willing to work with O'Daniel to see how it might help manage what's become an enormous event.
The ordinance excludes funerals, church gatherings, and other family-oriented events.
