The Kentucky State Police has charged two in the murder investigation of a four-year-old juvenile.

On Monday, October 22  at 2:30 p.m., Kentucky State Police Detective Tim Payne executed the arrest warrants of Nathaniel Tucker and Samantha Oakley of Hartford.
Nathaniel Tucker and Samantha Oakley were both charged with three counts of Criminal Abuse 1st degree (victim under 12). Tucker was also charged with one count of Murder (Domestic Violence) and three counts of Assault 1st degree (Domestic Violence). All charges are felonies and both were arrested without incident.

The Kentucky State Police initiated the investigation on Saturday, October 20, 2012, after a four-year-old juvenile was taken to OMHS in Owensboro with life threatening injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates Nathaniel Tucker was watching Samantha Oakley's three, four, and five-year-old children at their residence in Hartford. The three and five-year-old children suffered trauma ranging from bruising to a spinal fracture of the tibia. The four-year-old child was later transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Monday, the child was removed from life support and died at 9:15CST.
An autopsy will be performed by a Cincinnati Medical Examiner Tuesday.

Samantha Oakley is the mother of all three children. It is alleged that she knew of the abuse and failed to properly report it to authorities. Nathaniel Tucker is an acquaintance to Oakley.
The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police.
