Kevin Ford, and two Russians were aboard the craft when it left Kazakhstan Tuesday morning. The 52-year-old grew up in Montpelier, Indiana, and is scheduled to be at the station until March. He'll spend much of that time as the station's commander.
This is Ford's second space flight. He was the pilot on a 2009 Space Shuttle Discovery mission to the Space Station.
