Police: String of Burglaries Continues in Jasper

Jasper Police say an overnight burglary is likely connected to several others that have taken place this week.
The burglary at Schmidt Contracting happened between the close of business on Wednesday and the start of business on Thursday. Officers say the suspect or suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and or property.
Police say three other businesses were burglarized sometime either late Tuesday or early Wednesday morning. Those businesses are Paul's Custom Auto on Wernsing, R&P Auto on McKinley, and Grand Rentals Station on MacArthur. Investigators say in each case either merchandise or money was taken.
Currently, a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to those responsible. Anyone with a tip is encouraged to call the Jasper Police Tip Line at 812-481-2677.
