8th District Congressman Larry Bucshon is speaking out criticism over his vote against cutting $1 billion in aid to Pakistan. His opponent, Democrat Dave Crooks, brought up the issue earlier this week both in a debate with Bucshon and in a new TV commercial. Crooks says the aid should be cut because pakistan was hiding the world's most wanted terrorist. Bucshon says the money in question was counter terrorism aid to keep a bad situation from getting worse.
"i've got concerns about their government," said Bucshon, "all of us do. But on the other hand, you can't be short sided and look at the security, which is again terrorists have nuclear weapons"
Bucshon says Pakistan has 100 nuclear war heads, and something needs to be done to keep them from falling into the wrong hands.
