The Indiana Department of Natural Resources may be seeing the tide turn in its battle against an invasive species. For the past several years, biologists have been fighting a losing battle against the spread of the highly destructive emerald ash borer. However, for the first time in several years. the insect did not increase its range in Indiana. The pest has been found in 79 Indiana counties, but still no sightings in Gibson, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, or Warrick Counties.
