Plaza Park Teacher Receives "Cause for Applause" Award

One EVSC teacher has been recognized for her extra work in the classroom. Superintendent David Smith presented Cara Miller with the first "Cause of Applause" Award at an assembly at Plaza Park International Prep Academy. The award recognizes acts that go above and beyond the expectations of the EVSC.
Miller is a 6th grade teacher who has help another teacher, who was forced to take off early. She often taught two sets of classes in a day and created lesson plans for two classes.
"It's very overwhelming," said Miller. "Not expecting it, just great to be recognized."
Miller receives a certificate and a special parking spot at the building.
