Two Owensboro police detectives receive top honors for their work
cracking the Mayfied Pharmacy case. Sgt. Jeff Roby and Detective Nick
Wellman received certificates from the DEA this afternoon. Their work
busted Mayfield Pharmacy for illegally selling $130,000 hydro-codone
pills. Sgt. Roby says the Mayfield bust put a huge dent in the illegal
prescription pain medication problem plaguing the commonwealth. Federal
officials touted the success as a prime example of local, state, and
federal officials working together.
