Kentucky Fires Joker Phillips

Kentucky AD Mitch Barnhart has fired head football coach Joker Phillips.

Barnhart announced the firing in an "open letter" to fans via the school's website.

Phillips in in his 3rd season as UK head coach, and has a 12-23 record.

UK is 1-8 this season.

Barnhart says the search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
